Thank you for checking out the Rave’s Nest Yarn and Fiber. The Raven’s Nest Yarn and Fiber is set to become a brick-and-mortar store that sells yarn, fiber, and fiber craft essentials. I will offer classes, yarn, and fiber guidance to the greater Flagstaff, and Northern Arizona community.
A little about me and my fiber journey.
When I was 10, I saw a demonstration at a living history museum in the North East on how to spin fiber into yarn. This began a lifelong love affair with fiber and the fiber arts. I even learned to harvest and process fiber from animals I raised, including angora goats, and I even spun dog hair into yarn.
I love the tactile feel of fiber and the lifecycle from raw fiber to spun yarn, then to a finished product. This is how I channel my creative energy, how I show my love for my friends and community, and how I bring whimsy and fun into my world.
I am a Flagstaff local who has been here since 2014, and I was born and raised in Arizona. Both parents were park service rangers, so we moved around a lot, but mainly we were in the Grand Canyon region, Northern Arizona has always been home to me. I love being outside, hiking, biking, picnicking, and anything that allows the breeze to touch my face.
I would like to make a special thank you to Chris, aka partner in crime with me. He has been an amazing support and encouraging partner in this endeavor! Thank you for joining this strange and wonderful adventure with me and all that you do that words cannot express.
I would also like to thank the greater fiber community for their support and love. I am so excited to see this community develop and grow!
